SL Batteries Developing Trailer-Based Energy Storage Systems
SL Batteries is advancing plans to build trailer-mounted Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) designed to deliver affordable, mobile clean power. These units will provide a scalable alternative to diesel generators, offering reliable energy for events, remote sites, and community projects.
The systems will draw on SL Batteries’ expertise in recovering and reusing high-quality second-life batteries, with each trailer capable of delivering up to 40kWh of storage. By using modular designs and proven reuse methods, the company aims to lower costs while ensuring safety and performance.
Through ongoing work with partners such as Substation33 and PowerWells, SL Batteries has already demonstrated the impact of battery reuse in community energy projects across Australia and the Pacific. The trailer BESS initiative represents the next step in bringing practical, circular economy energy solutions to market.
