Shipping
Shipping of lithium cells falls under a number of regulations and vary based on local laws and shipping policies. Second Life Batteries can ship only within Australia at this time.
Our shipping calculator at checkout estimates the most likely option for cheapest shipping, however, adjustments may need to be made and we will contact you if required.
For all shipments, we offer the opportunity for customers to organise their own delivery if they wish. If you have a shipping provider you already use, especially in the case of palletised shipments to a business address, you can contact us to create a custom checkout order without shipping.
At the time of writing this, lithium batteries are a Class 9 dangerous good, and need to be shipped in accordance with UN3480 regulations. For batteries larger than 100Wh, this will incur a Dangerous Goods surcharge with most providers, normally around $80-$120.
Most orders are dispatched from unit 9/26 Ellerslie Rd, Meadowbrook, 4131, with forklift available onsite, this can be used by you when accessing your own quotes for shipping.
Email econtact@slbatteries.com.au to organise the cheapest shipping option for orders over 100Wh.
